Supporting Parents From Parental Leave to the First Year Back

We are Doctors specialising in postnatal care, delivering corporate training in the workplace. The postnatal period brings significant physical recovery, mental health changes, sleep deprivation, and shifting identity, all of which can impact performance and wellbeing. Our programmes are designed to help organisations retain talent, reduce burnout, improve employee wellbeing and support managers and HR teams in confidently navigating the challenges of the first year back.

As the founders of the UK’s first doctor-led postnatal retreat (est. 2022), GPs with 10+ years experience and parents ourselves, we combine clinical expertise with real lived experience to help businesses support new parents through this important transition back to work.

 

The First Year Back (Mothers Programme)

Supporting women returning from maternity leave through their first year back at work. This session focuses on postnatal recovery, mental health, identity shifts, confidence and balancing work and motherhood, with practical strategies to help mothers feel supported, capable and ready to thrive at work.

New Dads at Work (Fathers Programme)

A dedicated session for fathers in the first year after their child is born. We address sleep deprivation, changing family dynamics, partner support, mental wellbeing, and work-life balance, helping dads navigate this transition while remaining engaged and supported in the workplace.

Supporting Returning Parents (Managers & HR Training)

Equipping managers and HR teams with the knowledge and tools to support returning parents effectively. This session covers recognisisng postnatal physical and mental health issues, common challenges in the first year back, communication strategies and workplace adjustments, helping organisations create a supportive, informed, and high-retention culture.

We also offer doctor-led postnatal health checks and bespoke retreat experiences for employees, providing a more in-depth level of support beyond workshops. These services focus on physical recovery, mental wellbeing and true rest and reconnection, helping parents return to work feeling healthier, more confident and supported by their employer.
